The former River Steam Navigation Co., owned and operated a narrow gauge harbour networks, at the major river ports of East India and Burma.
Their rolling stock was often unique and built for specific tasks, such as supplying essentials such as drinking water, coal and marine diesel to the company's river barges and small coastal vessels.
